Kenmore Indooroopilly Driving School assisting Learner Drivers with skills development
Our Driving School teaches proactive collision avoidance in Indooroopilly
Just a few basic skills such as steering, stopping, starting, moving to kerb and moving away from kerb may need a few hours of focus activities to achieve good outcomes for these activities. At 100hrs many Kenmore and Indooroopilly Learners are unable to position the car neatly next to the kerb. There may be 60 or more other focus activities that are important during the learning process. It becomes clearer that many basic skills need developing in order to become an efficient and safe driver for life. Some Learner Drivers and Supervisors have the notion that driving 100hrs to School and on the highway is all that you need to be ready for a Driving Test. For many this will lead to a disappointing outcome.
Structured Driving School Lessons for Indooroopilly and Kenmore LearnersFor a Learner Driver, much of their 100 hours drive time will be with the purpose of going from one place to another and this can be useful to practice skills. However this type of driving may not allow the Learner Driver to learn and practice the many focus skills needed to be a very good driver. Thus Supervisor and Learner may need to spend between 20 and 40 hours leaving home just to go and practice the focus activities needed to be a skilled safe driver.
Not all Driving School Trainers can deliver quality lessons in KenmoreFor a Learner Driver to progress their driving journey quickly they are wise to get some help from a quality Driving Instructor in those first few hours of driving. The quality Instructor will evaluate the driving skills the Learner currently has and the skills they need to develop. The lessons need to focus on developing individual skills to become a complete driver. Some Instructors may not be good at dynamically creating structured lessons for each student, in which case you will log lots of time without optimum skill development. At the end of a lesson, a quality Instructor will summarise the skills you have developed in the lesson and the skills that you may move onto in the next lesson.
The Three Way support structure for the Learner Driver
There are many very basic skills for a Learner to master on the journey to being a good safe driver. It may be best to enlist a quality Driver Trainer to demonstrate and teach the concepts for each of the basic skills. Once the Learner understands those basic skills they can then go and practice them with their Supervisor. It is really good if a Supervisor comes along as an observer to see how the Driver Trainer works with the Learner and to get across the way the Instructor is teaching those basic skills. This puts the Supervisor in a better framework, when the Learner finds they are having problems practicing a particular skill. In fact the Australian Government supports the KEYS 2 DRIVE programme with a FREE lesson for both Learner AND Supervisor and has both a theoretical and on-road component.
